I love how I suddenly turned into the EMF pet project, that everyone votes on what I might like.
BTW: I am looooooving the shit out of Pixies and Cardigans. I have no idea which song is which (save Lovefool). And apparently Cardigan's producer is Tore Johansson, also known as Bonnie Pink and OK Go's producer. Pixies is also really good, love the energy. I expected something more akin to screaming-type punk but this is pretty melodic. I don't want to say Green Day, because everyone hates Green Day, but it's sort of Green Day done right. (Mind you, I have very limited punk vocabulary) Last edited by TurtleFu : 2012.12.06 at 02:33 PM. |

Take it as a compliment. You report on new gets and your opinions on them pretty reliably.

RE PIXIES: If I liked Nirvana, they would sound like Pixies.

So I listened to some Mellon Collie.
It's actually weird how much of this album I've heard before and never realized it. Not just Bullet with Butterfly Wings, but other songs too. As for Bullet with Butterfly Wings, I've actually heard it so many times that it's not like it's new to me. Despite the repetition of the chorus, I don't think the song is repetitive. I find the vocals incredibly annoying though. But I like the guitar. Overall I guess I like it, but not that much. So who wins, Jihad or Maou? |

I figured a lot of the songs would be like the rest of the Pumpkins stuff you listened to. You'd appreciate the guitar work, but the rest wouldn't grab you. The songs I picked for you to like offer a slightly different Pumpkins experience and have some cool lyrics you'll probably like. Wins and loses mean nothing to me. I'll concede to Jihad. It's the journey that you're making fun.
