I totally thought about this. I really think that this marunouchi track isn't a true album track. I mean, she didn't fit it into the symmetry pattern and more than anything I think she is responding to all her fans who really wanted that song. So I think this is more of a bonus track rather than an actual legit track along with the rest. I think it would have been better if she left it unannounced and included it as a special hidden bonus track. the fans are going nuts over the news anyways, they would have forgotten about the EXPO version pretty fast.

But I mean, with differences in sound from Karisome Otome Death Jazz, EXPO Yokyou, and EXPO Marunouchi, this album is probably going to be quite interesting. I'm wondering how different Yokyou will end up. I'm thinking the orchestra bit will be completely gone. The guitar sounded proper, so I'm wondering if she will take it back to a guitar track, or as the closer, do something more epic, like izonshou?

btw, Jazztronik ≠ Death Jazz. Those are completely different things.
If Jazztronik has a huge involvement in this album be prepared for a smooth lounge jazz sound with bossa nova undertones. Sounds like my kind of music... maybe so, maybe no.

jazztronik has only been confirmed as to be producing the b-side, which ringo sought him out for. so far no details about the album has been confirmed yet other than the entire thing front to end and top to bottom is written and composed entirely by Ringo herself.

Just to clarify my question about BGM, I usually associated BGM with instrumental tracks, and I guess most gamers or anime fans do the same. But I learned yesterday that it's not always the case, it just means the song is playing in the background, be it instrumental or with vocals.
Thanks for the answers frecklegirl and kuro_neko, still.

You can look forward to your next 2000 posts

But yah, Jazz-Shiina in PIMP style would be... awesome.
Maybe she'll leave Tokyo Jihen and join the PIMPS, or form a THIRD side prjoect (for both) with them

Maybe this album will be Shiina Ringo's own VARIETY. As in she'll be doing a wide range of things.

The fusion of old and new puts Yokyou into context. It doesn't sound like an old SR song, but it doesn't sound like a Phase 2 Ringo song either.

I wish I never read that sentence. Now it's ringing in my head until the album is out.
You're so cruel.

I forgot that 'VARIETY' has more connotations than just 'having variety!'

I hope it's more along the lines of a mixture of MM/SS/KSK kind of stuff. Or like Watashi no Houden if it was a proper album. *Shrugs*

I really don't know what to expect =X

I'm pondering whether I should spoil my virgin ears with whatever album previews we might find in the near future. I want to listen to the full album unspoiled and unbiased but at the same time I'm impatient and it would also suck not being able to take part in discussions here.
