This album so far sounds like to Sports what Reload is to Load or Amnesiac is to Kid A. Wouldn't surpise me if these songs have been sitting around for a while- they are so soon and so similar, like they wrote a shit load of songs around the time of Sports and aren't saying anything :-p

I'm much more excite to the live versions than the album itself. I love that they're always doing something, always working and recreating theirselves musically. Always making a new discovery (cliched, I know, but I really think so) in their ways of doing music.
I really wish tengoku received a rock n roll version. (the version used on the dorama that ChickShhh posted earlier, is pretty much a samba, and my brazilian blood started to boil when I heard. I think it's awesome that Shiina still flerts with brazilian music) Now all I want is that 29/06 comes fast, and so live versions!!! |

I appreciate how generous they've been in promoting Disc 2 of Sports.
Five songs is alot of material to offer for free public listening. No point in buying the single though unless they're alternate cuts of the album version |

I got a free poster with the single, so there's that. Plus I'm gonna get in on that ticket action. Plus it's only a thousand yen, and the production of the actual physical thing is quite lovely, fancier than I expected.
Oh, and there's a logo on the CD that makes it look like the album title ties into the mystery/detective genre of Television. So it's probably that. That's why I'm posting here rather than the single thread, sorry! |
