Default Musical Pet Peeves?

So, do any of you have any musical pet peeves? I don't mean bad songs or whatever, I mean little aspects of some songs that turn you off. Here are a couple of mine

1) Songs that are only two minutes long. They feel incomplete and amateurish, like somebody only had a chorus and the rest is padding
2) When EPs are called "mini-albums". Yuck, it's just wrong and sounds really stupid and childish.
3) When "harmonizing" in songs are actually pitch-edited instead of actually harmonized in studio.
4) When a pop song has one random barely-there violin thrown in to make it seem more "sophisticated". (Like Katy Perry's Firework)
5) Choruses that are a single word (or short phrase) repeated over and over and over...

So what about you guys?

[[Also, I know this could turn into a land-mine, so let's try and keep it funny and interesting instead of a hate-fest]]

People that complain about things without understanding them and not even trying or recognizing it.

Also the fact that every US top 40 song has to have a dance beat (or is targeted to white trash.)

@Turtlefu: fair enough but:

1. You are kidding right, some of the best, best bands have 2 minute songs. The Beatles comes to mind as the obvious example (remember, they are the band that you tell people you like to not be outcast)

2. EP is a mini-album. I don't think I've seen the term Mini-Album used outside of Asia anyway

5. Help! I need somebody Help! just not anybody etc etc.

verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus chorus chorus end rinse wash repeat

sing talking

editing to the point where breath intake and pedal release (on piano) are removed. I love hearing the mallets strike the strings and the foot pedal being pressed/released. it gives you a real sense of the life in the piano. same goes for cello, I love hearing being able to hear the bow slap against the strings.

Really bad album sequencing. I've been listening to a few albums all the way through without shuffle lately. Koda Kumi's album Kingdom really suffers from clumping a lot of ballads together, and BENI'S ENTIRE FUCKING DISCOGRAPHY suffers from putting ALL the midtempos at the beginning and not getting to the hot upbeat songs until halfway through the album. The only album of her's that I haven't seen do that is Jewel, and that's generally considered her best album.

~ Single-note melodies, something you see a lot with one-hit pop wonders, be it in the verses or chorus or sometimes both. The only exception would be "One Note Samba", which is a great song because they actually use a single-note melody as the concept and build the song around that.

~ The I-V-vi-IV chord progression.

More to come later.

Maybe all the things a person dislikes is just things that him/her have not found a good way of doing.

There is nothing wrong with liking any of those songs.

Here's some more

6) When the lead single is the first track on the album
7) When all the singles are in the first half of the album
8) When the album is split so it's uptempo first half and downtempo/ballad second half
