Hmmm my first cd ever that was something I was interested in and not one of my parents music was Johnny Lang. It was a horrible choice, bad country-esque rock. The only reason I got it was because I saw him in The Blues Brothers 2000 movie. I was 14. After that I watched MTV alot more and I fell in love with Korn's music. I was the stereotypical rocker who always wore black. Around this time I became friends with someone I met online and they were into to really weird music, they got me listening to Cradle of Filth. Then she went and mentioned Malice Mizer.......and from the first time I heard the song Baroque my whole musical tastes changed. Jrock invaded my life and from there it was a natural progression to TJ.

aahahahaaaaa

I still have that and love jamming out to it with friends who also remember the Pokemon days. SO. MUCH. FUN.

I could probably upload it sometime, too.

The first CD I bought was Savage Garden's debut album, because "Truly Madly Deeply" was a big hit when I was in middle school. I hated almost the rest of the album until recently when I realized some songs aren't so bad.

Ha! I can't help but laugh at you. I was already adult when Pokemon became popular. And yes, it means, that I don't care for or feel really untouched by any Pokemon discussion. I also know how to make words italic.

Pokemon red/blue is still a remarkable rpg, regardless of any hype.

most embarrassing of all:

Quiet Riot- 'metal health'. (I am that old)

I just read today that the singer was found dead in Las Vegas.

First truly influential album I bought:
The Monkees -'more of the Monkees'

I think my first cd purchase was Pearl Jam's Ten. My first cassette was Def Leppard's Adrenalize...
