When listening to the new Kylesa album, I can't help but think that the band heard The Joy Formidable and said "Needs more sludge". See this track from 1:15 onward to see what I mean, particularly in the vocal department.

Kylesa- Unspoken

Overall, one of the better examples of sludge metal in the previous couple of years, and a better album than Kylesa's last album.

Default Naughty Boy - La La La (Ft. Sam Smith) (DEVolution Remix)

Naughty Boy - La La La (Ft. Sam Smith) (DEVolution Remix)
I don't know who Naughty Boy, Sam Smith, or the DEVolution crew are, but I like it, especially after the 1:30 mark or so.

Edit: Actually, now that I've heard the original, I like it a lot more. Really strange video:

Rin toshite shigure's new album, i'mperfect.

EDIT: It's good. They actually got more sonically dense, if that's even possible.
EDIT2: Shit this is good. Like, maybe-better-than-just A moment good.

David Lynch (feat. Lykke Li)- I'm Waiting Here

Really nice song. Sure, this venture into music recently still seems like a big midlife crisis to me, but this sounds much better than than all stuff on Crazy Clown Time.

Carsick Cars- Zhong nan hai

What a fucking perfectly executed post-punk song! Found this by accident and fell in love.

Love the lyrics too (about their favorite cigarette brand) :-p

Rough translation given on the video:

Zhongnanhai, Zhongnanhai... Zhongnanhai, Zhongnanhai
Zhongnanhai, Zhongnanhai... I only smoke Zhongnanhai
Zhongnanhai, Zhongnanhai... I can't live without Zhongnanhai
Zhongnanhai, Zhongnanhai... who fucking smoked my Zhongnanhai?

now that must be one of the weirdest collaborations in music history. I mean, I like Namie, but I don't think she's a fitting replacement for Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes

Is it really that weird? Namies music is for the most part western style RnB.
