RIP Nujabes
Some of you may already know this, but beatmaker Nujabes (Seba Jun) died in a car accident earlier this year on 26 Feb. His management has been very quiet about this and the international world only just found out about this yesterday when rapper Shing02 posted on his website. He was 36.
I don't like most hip-hop things but Nujabes brings a soulful touch to those hard-hitting beats. His tunes are groovy as hell but delicate at the same time; a sound that belongs to uniquely to him. The hip-hop community has lost a great talent. May he rest in peace.

Aside from what I posted in CLT,
(Love the 'traditional' flavour) this is my favourite collaboration with an MC so far:
To add another shing02 collaboration to the Champloo OP: the Luv (Sic) series. Part 2 and 3 in particular.
Such a cool song title btw. I see what he did there. I forgot that he died while listening to his work yesterday... |
