Tracklis:
1. SSAW (boring....) 2. Aozora (ZZZZZZzzzzzz....) 3. Any live Koufukuron ver E (scream woman!! stop counting!!!) 4. Torikoshikurou 5. Poltergeist theres more, but in all honesty, I don't hate any of SR/TJ, I reserve those hate for some other crappy band/singer, these are just tracks I usually skip tis all. So... not too many people like Sigma, Crawl, and all them noise?? too bad.

*sigh* That's actually the song that made me take notice in Ringohime. I dled Poltergeist, Gibs, and Kokode at the same time. Thought Gibs was great and Kokode was alright, but Poltergeist made me see just how awesome she was.
I do however agree with Aozora. It's way to slow for me. I do like the Gekokujyo version though.

What do you play if you want people to like her?
My plan of attack would go something like this: 1. Start out with Gibusu. I've finally warmed up to it, but at first listen, most any female over the age of 15, and all males of any age will immediately think *Couples-only song at the roller-rink*. Pause the song when she first sings "I wanna be with you", write that out in the texting way Shiina did with the kanji "wanna" and the theta and the 'B' and the 'U' and all that, then go on and on for about 30 seconds about her clever word play and the way she twists around phonetic uses of kanji and English. Sing along loudly with that line on the rest of the choruses. 2. "She can also rawk. Hard." [cue up Fukushuu]. Bang your head a little with it, and butt in occasionally with things like "Man, this guitarist just shreds." and "God. This song just KICKS. ASS." 3. "She also does all this crazy experimental shit, too." [Ringo Catalog]. Don't explain what's going on, just play it. Then play it again, and say "Whoa. That's just so friggin cool". 4. "And in the past couple of years, she's started doing *great, great* jazz stuff. She's a total genius. She's effortlessly mastered like the last 50 years of popular music." [Papaya Mango]. You've softened them up now, so let on that it was a joke, that you deliberately picked out songs they'd hate. Then start talking about her third album, how it's like her Kid A, the greatest Japanese rock album maybe ever, there's hardly a moment on it that's not amazingly cool and clever. And hand them a burned copy of ZCS. Mission accomplished. Last edited by monad : 2007.12.11 at 07:17 AM. |

Great. Totally agreed, especially with this point. Yesterday, I was listening to "Mayonaka wa Junketsu" and "Karisome Otome (DEATH JAZZ ver.)" and I re-realized that she is such a great jazz singer .
