Man that HAIM is so good. It's vagely Tegan and Sara and I love it.
Also loving new Tegan and Sara. It is pure 80's pop bliss. |

I don't like to admit it, but I was pretty bored listening to it the first time :-(
(Doesn't mean I've given up on it yet.... but you know.... it's no Loveless, wait was too long, anticipation/hype was too big, too many shoegaze bands that have modernised/expanded upon the genre out there nowadays etc etc.) My next approach will be through headphones I think. I do like "in another way" a lot though. EDIT: Carlx, I still can't stand Salyu's voice, but I'd be lying if I said that Salyu X Salyu song you posted wasn't superb.

I thought mbv was alot easier than Loveless (though, by now, I understand their sound.) Mbv seems more song focused than Loveless (though I wouldnt say its a pop record exactly.) It's punchier and bombastic than Loveless.

"new you" is pretty good. I dig the groove. Some other songs are as interesting as the album title. :p Almost unlistenable after one day of intense, serious bubblegum pop listening.

It's not a classic, but I liked it. Who Sees You, Nothing Is, and Wonder 2 are my early favorites. I'd say the second half of the album was stronger than the first half. It is kinda sad that some songs feel like filler after all this time though.
