I actually have not listened to their older album for a very long time. I've recently rediscovered them with their new album. I never heard Sam's Town enough to remember all the songs off the top of my head but I liked it. However, I think I'm digging the newest album the most. I'll have to check back to confirm or deny this, though.
What is the Murder Trilogy, though? I think Believe me Natalie is a good song, but I wouldn't put it amongst my favorites. It doesn't really move me too much, its a bit too slow without much climax, I think. |

You know Sawdust is mostly b-sides from the singles to the first album, right? Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll, The Ballad of Michael Valentine, and Under the Gun (their best song) are even on the LE version of Hot Fuss. I had already heard most of the songs before the album dropped since I've seen them in concert a couple of times.
The Murder Trilogy is Midnight Show, Jenny Was a Friend of Mine, and Leave the Bourbon. It tells the story of a women named Jennifer who was murdered. Believe Me Natalie wins just because of its great story. It's about a gogo dancer stricken with AIDS. CLT: YYYs - Cheated Hearts

They don't have have a complete great album, just some great songs mixed in with a bunch of average ones. The album with the most great songs is Sam's Town (title track, Bones, This River is Wild) so therefor I consider it the best.

Vashti Bunyan. Because nothing soothes you about exams more than an angelic-voiced British folk lady.

Yeah, I totally agree, they don't have a "great" album, but I think Sawdust has the strongest of the three, until I go back anyway. Although I think that will remain the case for me. Shadowplay is soo cool too

The Killers - Bones
This is like our song, girl. Even though you're thousands of miles away in Singapore, we still listen and sing it together. I'd give almost anything to sing it with you next to me.

Ringo Shiina - Marunouchi Sadistic
When I first became a fan, this was never one of my favorite songs. I was always more attracted to the flash of Asobi or the intense emotions of Tsumi to Batsu or Gibusu. I used to hate how she would play this in all her appearances but not something like Yami ni furu ame. But in the last year or so, this song has enter the top tier of my list. The song is just lifted by the fact that she has so much fun performing it each and every time. Still can't decide on a favorite version...Love shower performance, JCHI, so many choices...
