@DG
Yuuuuussss. That is awesome. The Mother we Sure is EPHORIC. And I'm in a frustrated mood and need to jam so it is perfect.

I'm really on the fence with Chvrches. When I first heard them, I was pretty interested, bur I've had diminishing returns since. Lately I keep feeling they're a softer, less bold, Purity Ring.I haven't listened to their album yet, though I will.
I am not getting diminishing returns with Lorde though! Each new track of hers I hear piques my interest more and more. "Royals" is great but I like "Tennis Courts" even better (and its a great video.)

It's so weird, because she's like 17 and this is very mature songwriting. Where the hell did she come from? I'm always kind of wary of teenage songwriters but she seems to be the rare matured one (sort of like Ringo was)

Well I can see Lorde (who I have also been CLT'ing just didn't get as excited as the Chvrches album over- still sounds like Aus/NZ music to me :-p- make it slightly 'happier' and it's fucking Kimbra) AND Chvrches LIVE at the same venue on the same fucking day in Feb at the St. Jerome's Laneway Festival with a whole bunch of hipster musical acts including Savages, The Jezabels, Four Tet and well, check out the lineup here http://adelaide.lanewayfestival.com/
Oh and it's all in a shed on the coastline in an historic port town side of the city too :-p.

Heard a J-pop song that I liked on American radio of all places and discovered it was Pizzicato Five's "Strawberry Sleighride" just now. I've never heard their stuff before (though I've seen others talk about them on these very forums). I am officially a fan.
