I don't really bother watching anime nearly as much as I used to...the last series I actually watched to completion was Planetes, which I saw, uh, late last year I think. Still, I do have a few series I really love -

Haibane Renmei
Azumanga Daioh
Patlabor
Boogiepop Phantom

As for manga -

Azumanga Daioh
Yotsuba &!
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Genshiken

But to watch the WHOLE ANIME in english, wow just must be tough!
*nods nods* I had no choise. Y_Y

Then again, back then I didn't know jack all about dubs being bad so it didn't bother me so much... although I thought Asuka's voice pissed me off and then some...

That would be Tiffany Grant, who isn't a bad V.A., just not Yuko Miyamura.

The way anime is dubbed in the States is almost guaranteed to make it suck. There are good dubs (The Right Stuf does it best, I think), but no great dubs. And you don't have the original director anywhere near the recording booth.

I don't watch much of it, but:

1) Fullmetal Alchemist (especially near the end of the series)
2) Azumanga Daioh
3) Dragonball Z (a classic, and while I understand why some people don't like it, I ... err... do.)
4) Evangelion

Hmm... Tiffany Grant may not be bad, but damn her Asuka was still quite annoying. ^^;;

I love Mushishi now. It's greater than great. Maybe this would be the right one to convince Tokyo Jihad of Anime^^

And I just watched Great Teacher Onizuka. Loved it, too

Or Yu-Gi-Oh Lolz

I watched Akira a few nights ago and didn't really like it too much. My brother made it sound so much better than it really was.

( unrelated thought: )
I'm a big fan of Miyazaki films.. Some of his stuff ranks among the greatest things I've watched.
