Omg I looked it up and she did!!!! I hope it's on DVD ((
She also did Jiyuu e Michidzure! What a great show to attend... Also, Kohaku stuff has been announced! She'll be doing "Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri ~Koko wa Jigokuka Tengokuka Hen~" aka "~is this heaven or hell ver.~" ^^ Her message is as follows: How can I leave the White Team speechless? Typically, I would be in front of the television, hands sweating as I ate soba with my family. However, as I will be joining you all there, I must work toward achieving what I must as a member of the Red Team.

Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri ~Koko wa Jigokuka Tengokuka Hen~ better be better than regular Coke song. Or maybe not, could turn out to be the Coke Zero song.

Somebody out there has got to have a bootleg of this. To them I say: What is it you most desire? Alcohol? Money? Women? Expensive, alcoholic women? Name it and it's yours!

Y'all know this isn't the first time she covered that song, right? Also, I wouldn't knock Mimi, she is/was an incredible vocalist, and Ringo originally wanted to be one of her backup singers...

I don't dispute that Mariah Carey is a fabulous vocalist - by traditional standards. And I had heard that Ringo wanted to be a backup singer for her. But still, Ringo has something totally unique, and her singing backup for Mariah Carey would just be a crime.

^ There are "blenders" and there are soloists. Ringo definitely needed to strike it out on her own, but like Mimi, she's gone down in recent years I think. Maybe owing to hubris, but who knows? Michael Jackson kept up his voice well into his life, as have many opera and Enka singers... Sayuri Ishikawa killed it in her performances of SR's songs in ways Ringo hasn't really been able to do in the last five years or so. Either she or Mimi could turn it around at any time, given an open mind and continued vocal training (the rumor I've heard is that Ringo has only had six months of vocal coaching pre-debut). Make no mistake, Ringo is my favorite of the two, but both possess certain genius when it comes to both singing and songwriting.
Ringo performed the song I want to say ~3 years ago, as she had a concert on either Christmas Eve or Christmas day. I want to say Frecklegirl posted about it. As far as I know, no recording has surfaced of it. :\

IMO, Ringo's relative lack of vocal training is even more of a point in her favor - to think that she could do what she has done with minimal training I think says a lot about her native abilities. I'll admit she's not what she was 10 years ago - but she can still deliver an awesome performance, and I love her for it.
(I have to admit - I am totally addicted to Ringo's voice.)
