Default Variety Vs The B-Sides

I've noticed recently that through all of the Variety bashing, there has been a surprising amount of love for some Variety singles' B-Sides

SO

In a perfect world where you have the opportunity to rearrange Variety's tracklisting to your liking, which b-sides from "OSCA" or "Killer Tune" (if any) would you include in the official release OR which b-sides would you trade for songs that did make the official cut?

Although people say that the B-Sides should have been on the album, I think that the B-Sides are pretty average as they are.

I think that Kaban no Nakami and Put Your Camera Down would definitely make the cut, though. BB Queen if it sounded like the SOTC version and combined with Boutoumin.

I made a live Variety playlist and it was actually quite enjoyable.

Karada is the best b-side.

Pinocchio and Kaban no Nakami are two of my favorite tracks from that era, sandwiched between Killer Tune (my favorite) and OSCA. these four, and the occasional Kronekodow and Fukushuu, are the only Variety songs I can tolerate.

and Karada? hmm...it seems to be pretty popular around these here parts, but Sade she is not. it seems awkward to me.

The Osca b-sides are the best Variety era tracks. Killer Tune B-sides are not much of an improvement over the album cuts.

^^ agreedddddd (wow!) I'd even venture to say that the Killer Tune b-sides are *worse* than the album cuts.

I can't really stand the b-sides to the OSCA single. They're dull and tuneless. I don't have the Killer Tune single and haven't heard its b-sides so I can't comment on those. However, I'm one of the few here who seems to actually like Variety. I think most of the album tracks trump any song on the singles, including the a-sides. "Kingyo no Hako" for the win.

Assuming that OSCA and Killer Tune have to stay on the album, Karada could replace any other track on Variety no problem.

Kaban no Nakami and Senkou Shoujo are better than at least five tracks on that album, B.B. Queen better than at least three.
