I actually like TLC, more or less, but damn, they couldn't have sucked more life out of the song with that arrangement if they were trying to. Oh well, at least it's not as much of a mess as that song they did for the L'arc~en~ciel tribute album. That was just downright weird. Friend of mine just got back from Tokyo; brought me a bunch of bargain-bin CDs, basically the most ridiculous ones he could find. Anyway, the album this is from, REBEL TO MADNESS, was in the mix. It's actually not half-bad. Exactly what you'd expect, but not half-bad.
I nominate this to be the saddest PV of all time. |

The new Tommy february6 album. It is crazy good. God. It's like 80s disco idol pop meets EDM, which is probably the worst combination ever for some people here but I am so enamoured with her hooks and synth CAN'T STOP PLAYING THE RECORD HALP!

^She's AKB48 rip off!!!
JK but listening to "Love is forever", she's sounds so AKB48. And she's from Brilliant Green but now she holds lolipop and teddy bear...which is actually awesome, I'm digging this song "HOT CHOCOLAT" a lot. |

I didn't even know Tomoko Kawase was still around. Neat.
Found this while pulling up Souretsu on Youtube to listen to (all my SR/TJ is on an external that I'm too lazy to plug in). The bridge layered upon itself and repeated ad infinitum. It's pretty wild; consider yourself warned.
It actually kind of a fun exercise to try to focus on only one layer and follow it through the entire thing. Last edited by karateexplosion : 2013.06.14 at 06:00 PM. |

Wow. Thanks for linking to that. Mind re-blown. "Souretsu" is just insanely great.
Not Souretsu, but a nice slab of dance pop, though I admit it's mostly the "so please don't let go. . ." chorus that hooks me in:
