I agree. Even if it wasn't official, given Ringo's symmetry obsession and a run-time of a second or two off, it would look suspicious. i.e., 44:45 probably means your stereo or whatever is adding time.
My old broken stereo played CD's gaplessly and all the album lengths I can remember ran symmetrically. I remember KSK (44:44) and SS (55:55) run times, specifically. |

SS booklet has this in the credits:
全曲収録時間 五十分五十秒 (zenkyoku shuuroku jikan: gojuufun gojuubyou - total time of recording: 55 minutes 55 seconds) Also I love how every musician had a certain title attached to them, like Ringo was listed as "Young lady Shiina 'Masochist' Ringo") |
