Finally plunged in to Neko Case with her Blacklisted album, which was the first much trumpeted album of hers that I was aware of. It is pretty awesome.
Awesome song.

Move away SR.
This is officially a Perfume fan forum.
Whoever are the choreographers + visual effects team... damn. And this track by Mosca is just so addictive. Esp that dubby bit in the middle.

fact of the day: the photos in the Mosca video are exhibits of reverse Scheimpflug effect.
Edge is sick (meaning good). The mashed up sounding filters / leads and the ki ni naru ki ni naru... bit at the end are amazing. What are the chances of Perfume ever touring internationally? CLT:

I'm cool with talking about perfume. They're the only current "idol" group (well, Kalafina too) who I can get behind.
capsule is fairly well-known internationally in electronic music circles. and perfume is popular with the idol folks. And everything amazing that Perfume has done (edge), capsule has already done 1000 times better. But most perfume fans try to pretend that capsule/Nakata doesn't exist and its ALLLL about the girls (who I could care less about). Some of them even think that the girls should walk away from Nakata! How laughable! The choreographer is MICHICO and visual effects are supervised by Nakata with input by other directors, I'm not sure who did the triangle tour (which I think that performance is from) @deadgrandma haters gonna hate Last edited by TurtleFu : 2011.11.05 at 02:54 PM. |

Their choreographer isn't MICHICO... That's Namie Amuro's lyricist. Her name is MIKIKO.
But anyways, I don't really care that capsule may have done their stuff, better, mostly because I'm not a big capsule fan (I am trying to get into them, though). As for Nakata, I'm very aware that he runs the show. If they walk away from him, they'd sink faster than a lead brick plated with lead and tied to a lead balloon. But the reason I like Perfume and their songs so much more than capsule is that they're more fun and their voices are honestly better than Toshiko's. They're the pop side of capsule. Plus, the melodies are usually amazing (except Laser Beam. >_<), and I'm a HUGE melody person. And they dance like badasses. And they're cute. Yeah. I'm still standing by my statement that GLITTER is one of the best songs they've ever done, standing on the same ground as edge, Electro World, and GAME... And 575 and Negai, but those are completely different kinds of songs (but I love them sooooo much). Oh, and I need the obligatory "TOKUMA SUCKS" statement, because they truly do. That's very true. Perfume is pop capsule. Capsule isn't really "easy listening" music that you can dance along to.
Ah, right. I got them mixed up (though I wasn't aware MICHICO was Namie Amuro's lyricist. I really like the verses in GLITTER, but not the chorus. 575 is a really classic capsule song, straight out of their earlier albums. Since neither capsule and perfume regularly make those kind of songs, I cherish it even more. I guess I could say I'm more of a Nakata fan than anything else (though he has done questionable things, ie MEG and Kyarapyamublahblah) |

Hey JR (it never occurred to me to abbreviate your name so I don't have to count iiiiii's), thanks for the Mosca track. I can hardly believe I'm actually liking some grime these days.
