Some proper jazzin' from SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS senza brasses. I thought Josei (the piano guy) got a bit lazy in 6, but seems like he was savin' all his jazzin' for J.A.M.

Do people know cro-magnon?
perhaps not strictly jazz, but what is jazz nowadays anyway? but definitely Japanese.
At the risk of being one-note, here's another J.A.M, with the venerable Jose James.

I just recently came across them in a Chopin tribute album I bought mainly because of H ZETT M's participation.
It's good stuff.

Did they play a Chopin tune?

Yup, and they had this whole bossa nova thing going on, which was a very different approach than what everyone else took with their own covers in the tribute album. I wouldn't say cro-magnon sounded like jazz at all, but then again you specifically avoided defining them strictly as a "jazz" artist.

Definitely. I've had the pleasure of seeing her at Blue Note Milano, and she is quite something.
Interestingly, the original poster has gone MIA after his first post.
