But even the first 26 are not higher than 9 for me and there are only a few episodes that would get this rating from me. Has anyone else seen "Hoshi no Koe" or "Voices of a distant star?" It's a 20 minute OVA made by a single man. As if this wasn't impressive enough, it has one of the saddest love stories one can imagine, and all this in only 20 minutes. it's brilliant.

Well, I'm only on episode 18 I think right now? I guess I'll have to wait until the end until I call it the greatest anime ever, haha.

The ending of that episode is so great, I wish it would be the definite ending. But oh no, another enemy appears and everything is repeated again, just with another ending . Sucky. Best Anime ever is Mushishi^^ Otherwise you should watch Full Metal Alchemist or Great Teacher Onizuka for REALLY great animes. Ergo Proxy if you want it a bit more epic and a bit more complex and psychological. If you like Death Note so much you should watch Code Geass, it's very similar, just that the main Charakter is really as ruthless as Light should be. Oh, and if you want to see the most hated main char ever, watch School Days. The protagonist is such a stupid asshole, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw what he did. And he didn't stop. Where in other animes everything is just a problem of misunderstandings and bad luck, in School Days it's all HIS fault. He deserves it, he's a real jerk.

I love his stories, the visuals, scenery, clouds, trains, telephones and distant love that just keeps impressing me in his movies I really liked the ending of Byousoku 5 Centimeter But his best is still Kumo no Mukou, Yakusoku no Basho imo |

H&C is awesome. That's all. Although, in response to freckle, I do agree that Hagu looks like she is way too young for those guys to be hitting on her.

I'm watching Dennou Coil at the moment. I love the implementatino of the internet into the real world. I'm at episode 14 now, and I think the story is just starting.

No, in Dennou Coil it's on purpose. The following generation isn't simply surfing the net, they have glasses that through the visuals merge reality with the internet.
They have virtual pets running besides them, screens they can create in the middle of the air, they can use theyr thumb and pinky as a cellphone () and fight each other through hacking.
