Ichijiku no Hana's minor key chorus is what I hear. The heavy guitar didnt throw me off the scent.

Instrument arrangement is disposable to me when I go over a song. A good DJ could probably take a hard rock song and convert into reggae or techno.

playing with the song in my head, I slowed it down a bit, added a slight swing feel and the same arrangement as Okonomide. It sounded better in my head. lol

Yeah, when people talk about how Shiina has gone down the crapper and will never rise up again, or they HOPE she rises again, and then bitch about Sanmon Gossip, they kind of lose all credibility for me.

Hahahahaha shut up, Fukushuu is the worst song in her entire collection and nothing should be compared to it!

Well since some people don't seem to get it, I'll explain, at least what I think we are talking about.

It's like a KZK/HF/Ikiru style arrangement but without much energy and a weak transition. I'd say it closely resembles a lot of the style explored on KZK but it doesn't have the same context and energy as anything on that album. I don't think any part of KZK would sound as powerful when inserted into the middle of Noriki.

You could also probably make the Depeche Mode reference when you combine the two.

Agreed, my biggest criticism of this song in fact is that the arrangement is a bit too bland. The "accidental" notes would work well for a jazzy arrangement, so I totally see the Okonomide connection. I like this arrangement, but I don't think it's the best for the song. I hope they slow it down live.

Eureka!
I get it now!
We're all music geniuses, so we know how is like to make a song (and a good one!)! You just need to read some fan forums for a little research, see what they want to hear (not what you feel like composing/writting), then you revisit your discography (in brazil we say "you don't change a team when it's winning!"), use some things you created years ago, and BAM! you have a good album!

(edit: please, don't take it personal, cause it isn't)

wut? lolz

I know this isn't the case for most of you but I think I'm being honest when I say that if she went indie and dropped 90% of the ads (don't mind decent movie tie ins or soundtracks), I would stop ALL my complaining and buy albums again because at least I'd know then that the music was still about the music and that $$ and contract terms weren't priority. I'm not saying it's reasonable for her to do this. I'm just saying that I'd be a lot easier on the music.

I played a show last night and I know how much I'd be upset if everyone went home and blogged about how shitty it was (and it was a fairly weak performance, I'll be practicing all week). But I'm not making millions from ad campaigns. If I was, I'd almost expect those kind of things.

Is this thread imagining things that haven't happened again?

And the complaining about things that fucking nobody is actually saying continues again.

Get a fucking grip, people!

No one hates Izawa, no one is bothered by Uki enough anymore to comment. Dopamint feels like it was released a fucking million years ago by now and if you are still bothered that some people didn't like it, then maybe its you that has the problem. I know its on the to be released album, but its officially released and everyone here has heard it already. No one talks about the showtune anymore or Sora ga Natteiru. Bunmei-Kaika and the newly leaked song are fresh in people's minds so everyone gets the chance to say their opinion. No one has said anything particularly defamatory to either song; if you are upset that your four-word review is overshadowed by a one hundred word critique then the onus is on you. Brevity is wit, as some british dude (Whisper-mon) once said, so you don't have to write a dissertation. But if "I love it. I think its kawaii" doesn't inspire as much discussion as a Maou-post does, then pick your words better or let the conversation be. It's possible to say something is good and spark discussion, but if your four-word review fell by the way side, don't get in a huffy because someone with a different opinion put in more effort.

You're not the only person in the world that loves whatever song/album. I love "Fukushuu," yet EMF largely trashes it. I have said my peace on the matter and thought I did an adequate job explicating. Lo and behold I am not 100% flabbergasted nobody changed their minds. That's the common opinion, I voiced my side and that's that. I know there's at least one person that thought agreed with me on "Fukushuu."

If you like the new song(s), then post! Say why you like it. If you agree, post that you agree and add in your two-cents! Don't let the Group 1's and 2's be the only one's that discuss these things, and then break out into a great big circle-jerk about how "oppressed" the forum is for people with positive opinions. Don't be lazy, don't be pitiful and use the forum. For crying out loud.

I like Fukushuu

I don't think I've used the word Kawaii once on this board.

I don't care about Izawa or Uki opinions (I think, I don't remember saying anything, apart from I don't care.)

It's a different version of Sora Ga and Dopamint.

The new album is indeed Sports 1.5 IMO.

The new song is fucked. But will fit straight after Sora Ga.

Dot points are more effective than essays.

I want a full length of the watering Kiss mint version of Sora ga.

Circle Jerks are good fun.
