Could Discovery really be considered a genre of television? I may be wrong, but I thought it was only used as the name of a specific educational channel. If that's the case... Hoorah! they're branching out. :b

It's really not just Discovery though, it's Great Discovery. That's enough of a difference to make me think it's not meant to be a TV genre. I don't think the Discovery Channel exists in Japan anyway. It sounds like they want this album to speak more to the current world, to society, and so on.

I don't know, the way they're handling things, it seems like TJ is on autopilot. Maybe there will be a few good songs on the new album...

Ugh, I think I like it a little. In a Gunjou Biyori way.

The song sounds a little Izawa too. The verses where she sings in english. And in the 30 second clip. I remember Denpa Tsushin sounding a little 'US teeny boppy' with the 'interactive!' 'hyperactive!' parts.

Nice find, ChickenShh. wth is that video supposed to mean?
If that's the new sound they're going for Tengoku... them I MUCH prefer the original. I just really dislike that type of music unless it comes in very small doses.

^ That video came from the Dorama Tengoku was the theme song of. That scene has been floating around YouTube for at least a year now.

BTW, I think the album name & theme was going to be "MYSTERY" before the earthquake happened, and Ringo felt compelled to make music that was more genuine and maybe less contrived/conceptual. I'm really excited about this album, I just hope they don't screw Tengoku up too much.

EDIT: Does this song remind anyone else of the Beatles or something?

I'm excited, terrible songs aside. I wouldn't mind at least another FAIR or noriki.
