I think it was more of an Europe thing. The author of Perfume is german, while Dan Brown is american. Makes a lot of difference

I takes only this 90 seconds for the movie to get started and right into the actions scenes. It's utter brilliance

I thought Shoot Em Up was kind of boring....just me though.
Saw Drag Me To Hell a second time the other day and it was still just as loud, oi. |

Was going to see Transformers 2 tonight, buuuut it was sold out. So I watched My Bloody Valentine at my friend's place- it was enjoyable.
(not my favorite movie.. but this seems to be the thread to discuss recent movies we've watched.) |

MBV was AMAZING in the cinema, especially the 3D I mean. I <3 Jensen Ackles so I pretty much loved the movie. It was pretty balls out and never tried to more than it was. You probably got the better of the two choices, XD.

Transformers 2 was terrible. I expected nothing more than some brainless action and I was still disappointed. About 45 minutes too long, some absolutely terrible robots (the two "black" twins) and a lot of awful misogyny and innuendo. The CGI was of course phenomenal but it just makes me sad that such a budget and team are wasted on such terrible story telling. I know I said I'm looking forward to 2012 for it's brainless CGI, but when the story is so long and boring and the characters bordering on offensive it just becomes unenjoyable.

Misogyny? Wow. Reason #235235 not to go see that! Despite my fondness for Shia LaBoeuf...
But honestly, I'm curious, what exactly was misogynist? |
