Latest order I received from HMV Japan:
2004.06.23 | SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS PIMPIN' CD album 2004.11.10 | THE RODEO CARBURETTOR Gekkou Dance CD ep 2004.12.01 | SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS Suffocation CD single 2005.03.24 | THE RODEO CARBURETTOR Pissed Off CD ep 2005.07.21 | SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS SUMMER GODDESS CD ep 2006.02.08 | SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS Crush! CD single 2007.03.07 | SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS PIMPOINT CD album 2008.02.14 | THE RODEO CARBURETTOR Speed of flow CD single 2008.03.05 | J.A.M Just A Maestro CD album 2008.03.26 | hayato kaori pluma CD cover album 2009.10.21 | Various Artists PE'Z COLOR VOL.0 CD remix album 2009.11.11 | Various Artists NOT JAZZ!! BUT PE'Z!! ~10TH ANNIVERSARY TRIBUTE TO PE'Z~ CD cover album Now I'm not missing anymore CDs from SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS, while I'm missing maybe one CD from PE'Z (it was never offered internationally), and three (out of eleven) CDs from THE RODEO CARBURETTOR. Strangely enough, HMV Japan started charging my credit card $215 when they began to ship my order out, but then they seem to have.. released the money even though my account had enough unreserved funds. I'll just have to wait and see if this charge goes completely through. This could be the third time in recent years, that I've 'bought' $100+ worth of goods without being charged. I know that several banks are recently offering to refund people for random debit transactions up to a certain value (like $250), but I haven't enrolled in that program with my bank.

July-November purchases:
Spoon - Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Sufjan Stevens - The Avalanche The Strokes - Room on Fire Björk - Homogenic Beck - Midnite Vultures Love Is All - Nine Times That Same Song Arcade Fire - Neon Bible Franz Ferdinand - Franz Ferdinand Black Lips - Good Bad Not Evil Patrick Wolf - The Bachelor Camera Obscura - My Maudlin Career CSS - Cansai de Ser Sexy The New Pornographers - Mass Romantic Björk - Vespertine Brings my total to about $285 spent on 27 albums and 1 single this year. How about everyone else? Needless to say, my $100 music budget failed, but not as miserably as I'd imagined. |

That is one of the best albums ever. I liked about half of it when it came out but never got into the other songs until this year, where I found the gloriousness of Auf Achse and Jacqueline. Now I get blown away by just how good the whole thing is whenever I think about it. It's kinda crazy. @.@
This year in my music buying, I definitely haven't been under $100, or even $200. But I didn't spend nearly as much as I usually would. Aside from the massive spending spree of Ringo merchandise from around when Sanmon Gossip came out, the odd new US release I picked up and the 20 Japanese/Korean CDs I've amassed during my time in Korea so far. |

I wish everyone else could be a "singles" band like them; almost all the tracks on their three albums have single potential. |

^ i don't about "tonight," though. that was kind of a let down for me. there were some good songs, i especially liked Ulysses after originally hating it, but i think they got caught up more in the sound they wanted than the actually quality of the songs themselves. i wonder where they'll go from there.

I just ordered some more relatively recent salsa* (probably not of much use to any of you). Sorry, no pictures, but salsa CD covers are usually not terribly exciting.
Timbalive - From Miami a la Habana Choco Orta - Ahora Mismo. . . Son de Cali - Cambiando la Historia *They may be calling it timba, but it definitely sounds like they have made concessions to the American salsa market, probably why I like it. |

the brilliant green - TERRA2001
Every Little Thing - Many Pieces hitomi - LOVE LIFE Sondre Lerche - Two Way Monologue Sondre Lerche - Phantom Punch Nakashima Mika - LØVE Just spent $40 of Christmas money from two sets of aunts and uncles to get these wonderful albums. This goes under the "indirect gift" category and doesn't count towards my miserably failed music budget. |

TERRA2001 is the only one not lumped in with the $40 purchase, costing just over $11, but I was too lazy to point it out. But I guess $40 for two domestic releases and three Japanese albums is still pretty crazy. While Amazon's Marketplace has been pretty failsy lately, Amazon.co.jp's Marketplace is fantastic.
