Then hey, someone give a good reason to keep the 10 char min. I already debunked one and sent it packing.

Packing nothing. I still think there should be a limit because no matter how much you say it doesnt, it does prevent spamming. And it also stops people from building up high post counts without saying much. I just got to the point where I didnt care either way, but if I had to vote, I'd say keep it.

Now to get to the bolded part.I think this is irrelevant cuz as long as Jihad's in town, the "1337" will be kept in check. At the old forums I always tried to make sure we were a generally "1337-free" environment meaning just cuz you're someone with no life who spends all day posting (like me) doesn't make you any better than someone who only stops by once in a while. So - so what if someone if someone wants to amass a large post count? All they'll get out of it is some strange self-gratification. No ones better just cuz they have a high post count. (and I have the highest post count anyway. ~_^ )

"And it also stops people from building up high post counts without saying much."
And this comes from someone with a high post count without saying anything much. Coming from me, some people might consider this an unqualified statement, so be it. I just wanted to get it out of my chest. Why would anyone want to spam this board really? What, besides self-gratfication, do they gain from doing so? Honour and respect from the community? Bullshit. One of the people I respect most on this community is Bebio, and his current postcount (only) 26.

Some people do have that weird self-gratification thing with posting. Like I said I don't care either way, but I'm sticking to my guns on this one.

P.S. I'm neutral, but i know I would tend to get lazy if there's no limit: responses like 'ok', 'i see', 'thx', 'o.O' =P Last edited by ChickShhh : 2007.05.13 at 09:03 AM. Reason: To make it longer |

Let's meet half-way and reduce the minimum to 5. Anyone who makes a post of 5 smileys is just spouting weeaboo anyway.
