When this album came out I listened to it like crazy. After a while, other albums started taking up my time. I'm just now getting back around to it, but dannnng. It's such a fun time. Just never gets old. <3

The debut album of one of my favourite artists, Janelle Monáe, just leaked (it's due out May 18th). It's called The ArchAndroid, and it's wonderful.

The thing is, it sounds unlike anything I've ever heard... except this album. Only SG has the same mixing of jazz, lush orchestrations, hip hop, rap, punk and pop.

Give it a listen and please convince me I'm not imagining things.

OMG, funny thing is that I was going to post this album here too with a similar statement,

I found that listening to this album has me on the artistic edge.Love it

And the FUNNy thing is in the song faster, there is a bridge or a small intrumental part in the song that is the same exact one to the electro intro to Tokyo Jihens "3 min" Sanpouken... or whatever it is. XD

Yes, THANK YOU. Initially I wasn't quite sure about Irokoizata, maybe it felt a bit too generic for comfort - but now it all clicked. I friggin LOVE Elis.

It's kinda creepy. I never noticed that before and I love both albums. Either way, you're absolutely right, they're similar and they're both absolutely amazing.
