The engrish gets in the way for me. [/trollol]

I wonder why they didn't make more of Kaban no Nakami. It's one of the best if not the best post-Adult songs. And 17 is one of the SR tracks it seems I can't live without.
The lyrics to both are fine of course, they're about ideas that are universally applicable to most people's lives at one point or other, and I'd argue they scan a lot better musically and emotionally than a lot of native English lyricists. Marunouchi Sadistic chords are like the Wilhelm's scream in music I like, they keep cropping up. Some early 90s acid jazz/R&B:

It wasn't until Spa and Treatment that I liked Kaban no Nakami. The single version sounds too 'weak' and 'tincanny' to make much of an impression.
I actually like the engrish in the song (And how she bleats 'embarrass' in the live. They'd embaa-aa-rass me so please don't ahsk!). And Uki's twinky twonky guitar works here I think. |

I think "Kaban no Nakami" is their most Beatlesque song. I always think of Rubber Soul when I hear it. Yeah, I agree they could have done more with it.

I recall liking Karada more that Kaban, though I love the lyrics within both. I remember laughing the first time I finished listening Karada. I rarely touch both songs as of late- I have like 1300+ listens to Aisaika no Choushoku as a result of their neglect. I think I will revisit them more having realized this.
