Kansai Gaidai loves Ringo. I didn't meet a single person who liked Variety or at least was brave enough to tell me so. I met a few big fans of solo Shiina and even sang with one in the school lounge.

I think probably the best observations of Japanese SR fans would be made by looking at mixi.jp. (Mixi being sorta like a Japanese myspace.) Of course this is when fans aren't posting "shiina ringo ni FAKKU" ..but posts like that usually get deleted.. pretty quickly.

Lmao. Why do they write that, by the way? Disgruntled MM/SS/KZK fans?

Nothing controversial in this community has ever disappeared because it was critical of Shiina Ringo or Tokyo Jihen. Spam and scat are the things that disappear the fastest. Once in rare while, trolling might disappear if it is real nasty, but if you think any admins/moderators like to use "trolling" an as excuse to delete a post - you should see the posts that are still intact. You also have to take into consideration how many people rethink a post they just submitted in the heat of the moment, and decide that maybe it went too far (whether or not the admins would agree) - and the original author deletes the post themselves. The next time you see a critical post disappear, I suggest you contact the author about it instead of suspect or imply that any staff members of EMF were involved.
