United Tour was pretty tough for her past a certain point, She's allergic to this type of cedar and one of the halls was made of it. Took her a few days to recover from it.

I saw her when she came to NYC, Voice was on point whole show. (She blew up someone's spot for recording during one of the talks too)

I think Sakura Nagashi is one of the best songs she's done recently. Her voice sounds great.
Distance is worth the listen still. That's when she really started pushing out of the R&B phase. Really good pop tracks.

Kettobase!!! , Can you keep a Secret? and dat Hayatochiri remix.

Deep River is still my favorite album.

Yesss. Somebody else who lists HAYATOCHI-REMIX!

My preference is Distance over Deep River because of the R&B. Though my top track list looks something like this:

Letters
Kremlin Dusk
HAYATOCHI-REMIX
Deep River
Sakura Drops
Sunglass
Distance
Passion
For You
Shiawase ni Narou

The only real misses for me on Distance and Deep River are Eternally, Play Ball and Tokyo Nights.

Play Ball is one of my favorites!

Also I prefer Final Distance to Distance.

This thread is rekindling my love for Utada. I hope she comes back with a Japanese full-length soon. Though, I heard she just got married again, so I doubt this will happen anytime soon. Wishful thinking.

Exodus had some good experimental tracks sprinkled throughout it, but This Is The One was embarrassing. The only redeeming songs from that album were "Apples and Cinnamon" and "Come Back To Me". I always hated how she sexualized herself more for the American market. And WHAT, I just found out she had a full English LP in '98 called Precious before she made her debut in Japan in '99 with First Love. I did not know that.

Precious is lame. Ignore.

Best album is Heart Station IMO tbh. Ultra Blue I can't remember anything from whatsoever cept Kingdom Hearts :-p

If she makes a new album soon, it better not be as uninspired and generic as the bonus CD on the second Greatest Hits album...

If her potential future releases are as good as Sakura Nagashi, I'll be hapy

We're opposites again! That stretch of Play Ball, Tokyo Nights and A.S.A.P. loses me every time.

I never really cared for Final Distance. I dig the story and sentimentality behind it, but it doesn't do anything for me.

Props to Utada for her choice of man. A good, young Italian man that will likely satisfy her far better than that old Japanese dude. Though it makes me feel like I missed the boat. If you wanted a fine Italian man, Utada, I was available back in the Deep River days.

In my experience, old Japanese dudes usually use a battery powered bar that makes the same noise those electric hair clippers make, or a bouncy quail egg attached to a wire.

I think I'm the only one here who likes TITO. It's probably her best straighforward pop album, a lot of good breezy tracks. I like FYI, Me Meuro, On and On the best I think.
I think Exodus is her third best album. It needed to cook more, so I can hope at some point it gets re-mastered. The slight retooling Devil Inside, Kremlin Dusk, and YMMWTBAM got in Utada United really cemented how good the material was.
