Senko Shojo PV - What's its meaning?
I like the song a lot. .
Just that the PV is a bit weird. Look like the two girls are about to have a TNA-wrestling match before one of them disappears. Just kidding. I think it's like "The girl who leapt through time" kind of phenomena I think it has something to do with the lyrics (no/yes?). Discuss! Tell what you think about the PV.

OMG, I had the exact same thought, when I saw the video. I don't even know why, but I instantly thought of The girl who leaped through time.

I really like this song, and the PV seems to go really well with it.
As for its meaning, I interpreted it in two different ways. One is, that the two girls were friends, dancers or something, and the girl that disappears, worked harder, and became famous and left the other girl behind who was a bit of a slacker, listening to her iPod instead of practicing. The other meaning I think it could have, is that the two were friends, dancers or something, and the girl that disappears worked really hard but for some reason lost something, will or whatever, and killed her self, possibly jumping off of the roof where the other girl is standing alone. I don't understand the lyrics so I could be completely off-base, but based on what I see and the way the song goes, I think both are pretty valid. |

Just now I watched the PV again thought maybe the high-school girl was a loner, having no friend. So she usually went to rooftop and imagined an older imaginary friend who resembled her in many ways (the shoes and the socks for example. Actually toward the end, it can be seen that instead of 2 girls facing each other, it's the highschool girl and her reflection). However, in the end of the day, the imaginary friend was still unreal, thus disappeared. The high-schoo girl, again, was very alone The more I watch, the more I support my point. But actually I prefer your point. It's more novelty

I think it's about how when you have a really close friend so close that you two start to share a soul, and do things around each other you would never do around someone else (those nifty hand jive sequences for example) and then suddenly you two either grow apart, or they disappear.
Like a classmate who mysteriously transfers far away. And that happens to everyone (either you are the one left behind, or you are the one who leaves) before they grow up, right? I see the Girl Who Leaped Through Time connection too (Megabusters!). I like the little white on black line animation with the sparkles at the end.

Clearly the song is about SR wanting to go back in time to the glory days of her career.

Apart from the PV, Senkou Shoujo the song stands out as the most BORING song ever in the SR/TJ history.
I'm disillusioned as hell. |
