It's amazing how the Chanel clothes have other context when she's wearing it. From woman to woman with guts, which I believe it's the image they wanted in the photos (claps to the one who conceveid the idea)

I LOVE CHANEL.
This picture of Shiina is really well directed. She's doing a little ballet pose which reflects the mood set by the ribbon patterns in the tights.

Actually, it looks like a fencing pose. A lunge in heels.

Oh, how I miss her Vivienne Westwood ring. The first time I saw it, I was already a Nana (Yazawa Ai manga) fan, and I thought it would be interesting sharing this otaku info: "Nana's appearance is influenced by young Ringo Shiina, such as Vivienne Westwood, the number of earrings and the part of the ear pierced earrings, an armor ring, a leopard-spotted hat, etc. Mika Nakashima said that she referred to Shiina's live video Gekokujou Xstasy in creating the role of Nana." source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nana_Osaki It was too much of a coincidence, and Nana was really based on Shiina's appearence/style. How cool is that?

Thanks for the information, though my friend has told me that Vivienne Westwood was big in Japan before Shiina and I'm not completely sure, anyone wanna chime in?

If we're talking about other artists/characters being inspired by Shiina Ringo's fashion, there's also Guilty Gear. Take notice of the mole and the MM-era guitar.
