Your favourite album from the year you were born.
If you can only pick ONE album from the year you were born, what would it be?
After hard thinking about all the stuff I listen to from that period, I've actually come down to one that is blatantly obvious, mainly because it's always been there. That of course is Metallica's fantastic (probably overrated) classic, Master of Puppets (1986) I am very keen to know other people's favourites from the year they were born :-)

Beatles something or another, I guess, or perhaps an early Beach Boys release. From what I've been told, it was a rather arid era before the moptops arrived.

Badmotorfinger was released on my birthday, 10.08.91. Not a huge Soundgarden fan but I do like that album, in part for that reason.
As for the entire year of 1991, I'd have to choose the incredibly obscure Gikyokuonsou. |

that was really easy
I know it's a compilation, but it's still the only good album released that year (that I've heard) EDIT: ok, except those: Last edited by matan-san : 2012.05.23 at 06:04 AM. |

Theres too much 80's garbage to sift through for me to contribute. Whatever 86 release from Pixies/Talking Heads/Sonic Youth had that year. 80's, not my forte.
