To answer a question posed, the original team did Katamari Damacy, We Love Katamari, Me and My Katamari. They did NOT do the XBOX 360 one (Beautiful Katamari)...BUT I still enjoyed that one a little bit for it's technical superiority. No mid-level loading!

And about a PS3 game worth owning a PS3 for..just wait for FFXIII....OH WAIT>>>>LOL@PS3 OWNERS..It's not exclusive anymore! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

They never refunded me for Merceneries I should have bought from GAME instead of "no refunds ever" HMV. I picked up a game called lost odyssey for my 360 cause the guy said it was like Final Fantasy (I know the guy in GAME pretty well) has anyone else here played it ? and if so could they tell me if it's like FF cause I don't wanna fire it up and find out 10 hours in he was mistaken.

It's like Final Fantasy 9 or 7. Not like shitty FF12 or X.(X being not that shitty )
The gameplay feels VERY old, with some good twists.
I'd say it's one of the best RPGs of this new millenium.

And, oh yeah, in between are about 30 short stories that consist of animated text with background images and music. Sounds boring, but some of them can bring you to tears.

I agree with Golem. Lost Odyssey is fucking sweet. I've put in a good 80+ hours into it. It feels VERY old school and VERY Final Fantasy. But hey, look who created it. It should feel Final Fantasy.

Activision to make DJ Hero. At first I thought it'd be a cheap Beatmania knock-off, but reading about it has certainly peaked my interest.

"The game, which has been in development for nearly two years, is expected to hit shelves next summer and will include the ability to use Guitar Hero guitars for versus mode face-offs.

The controller, key to the game's success, has been through nearly a half-dozen iterations.

In the latest form, the device looks a lot like a simplified DJ Deck. There is a platter for scratching which will act like the strum toggle on a Guitar Hero guitar. Above the platter are three buttons for sampling. The controller also includes a cross fader and a sound effects dial which will act like the whammy bar in Guitar Hero.

Instead of flowing the musical notes down a guitar neck, DJ Hero will flow the music down and around a virtual record in a half arc. Either left top to middle bottom if you are left handed, or right top to middle bottom if you are right handed.

To play you will have to either hold a sample button and scratch, just hold a button or just scratch as the neon icons flow around the virtual vinyl.

Currently the wireless controller has grooves molded into the bottom so it will sit comfortably in a player's lap, though the team is also looking into legs for the deck so gamers can play while standing up.

The game is made up entirely of mash-ups, think Beyonce Vs Jimi Hendrix, 50 cent Vs Beastie Boys. If they can nail the interface and get licensing for the music this could be a mammoth hit. Then again I love mash-ups.

So why has this got my interest? Well, firstly I love/d (it's been a while) Beatmania and rhythm games in general. Secondly, they've spent a lot of time going through modes of play and hardware iterations so they haven't just thrown out a cheap rip, they've thought about how this would actually work well. But mostly I'm excited at the prospect of having DJ Vs Guitar, which the game seems to be heavily designed around (Consisting entirely of mash-ups and being part of the "Hero" brand), which just seems awesome to me. As long as the soundtrack doesn't suck...

They still haven't even announced an EU release date And I don't have my NA console any more so I can't import. Latest rumours on the official boards state a Halloween EU release which would be nice, and it makes sense to get it out just before Guitar Hero: World Tour but there's been absolutely no announcement from EA or Harmonix which is ridiculous considering the game is already out in America. Australia still hasn't seen a Rock Band 1 release. They really need to up their game if they want to compete with GH. Activision and RedOctane will have no problem pumping out the hardware worldwide.
