I had Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and Twilight Princess (besides Wii Sports) and all were lots of fun (especially TP). I suppose there are other good games, but yes, I am one to agree that Nintendo has been staying in the Kids market for too long now. It seems like they are trying to broaden the range again, what with that b/w game I forgot the name and Resident Evil, but I don't know if it will keep going that way.
They already tried something similar with the Gamecube, releasing MGS Twin Snakes and Resident Evil 0, but they were just a part of the few "mature" titles on the catalog. They better "grow up" with the Wii, or else... well, or else nothing. There are lots of kids and mums to buy the system, so they'll keep getting money. That's the problem, actually!

I love the huge Nintendo franchises as much as the next guy, there's just too few on the Wii, and it's line-up is mostly full of bad ports and games aimed purely at selling to kids who want to do something by swinging the controller. But my main problem with the Wii is that the whole point of it was to revolutionise gaming. By pushing gameplay forward in a way graphics never could, and in that regard it has failed dramatically. 95% of games resort to cheap waggling and I don't think anything has used the Wiimote in a truly brilliant, genre defining way. Even something like Mario Galaxy's brilliance has little to do with the Wiimote. Still, it's here to stay. It's the very thing getting them record breaking sales.

I bought a game today for my Wii that seems adult-market based! though I forgot what it's called ? and I'm not going downstairs to find out (cause my feet hurt) it's by the guy who did Killer7 same graphical style too!

EDIT: I hobbled down to see (I was also curious) it's called No More Heroes!

(Killer7 is such an amazing game)

i have no problem with the Wii sticking with the kids market, god knows the PS3 and xbox doesn't cater to that group.

I am also disappointed with the Wii and the relatively few games that effectively use the motion controls. I've been dreaming of a decent boxing game ever since they announced the damn system.

yeah.my xbox RROD'd earlier. Pissed me the hell off. Since I am in Japan and use an APO address I can't use the Microsoft repair. ARGGG.

that makes two of us. It's just ignorance. People think it's overseas.

I sent Converse.com a GIANT email because they refused to ship some custom Con's I made on their website. They let me get through the ENTIRE fucking process, order, credit card, shipping address, EVERYTHING. THEN sent me an email saying they "don't shop overseas". I basically told them to go fuck themselves and get a clue.

I can recharge rechargable batteries tho, but not forever.
