Defying Gravity
Has anyone seen this?
I only watched the first two episode, but I somehow got hooked. It's a lot of drama, with a bit of scifi and mystery. I just hope they have a good storyline up on their sleeves and not just some melodrama written episode by episode with nonsense mystery fillings. Oh, and I think it's very well shot. Good reason to watch it in 720p

I thought this thread was about beating old age.
The concept sounds great. I love astronomy-related stuff, really inspires me, ever since I watched Carl Sagan's COSMOS. However, when I read this on the wiki page:
I'll give it a chance though. As long as it isn't full of tedious romantic chick flicky soap opera drama rubbish. Thanks for the heads up! |

1. Not written episode by episode 2. NOT nonsense when it comes to the mystery part. What you mean is "Doesn't this sound so much like HEROES?" EDIT 1 Yeah, I read that too, but I have no clue how they can compare the two. For me it seems more like a 2009 mainstream version of Solaris.

I watched the first two episodes, I thought the first was OK and the second was atrocious. It really is Greys Anatomy in space. The music is awful and no story set in space should turn into a soap opera by the second episode. Watch Ronald D Moore's (BSG) Virtuality pilot to see a similar concept implemented brilliantly.
