Lesser known Japanese bands have toured shows in the US. Shiina should at least play some big cities. Even Kyary has done what, 2 US big city tours now? Sadly she is more well known than Shiina having idol status to pump her to international stardom.

Kyary has toured here in Australia ffs. On Sunday night. I know I was there.

Boris come frequently too.

Also... Them Ringo venues sound fucking tiny... GA perhaps?

From looking up the Toutaikai and Hantaikai venues, I think Toutaikai was about 2,000 capacity and Hantaikai might've been as small as 550. The upcoming venues seem comparable in size to the Zazen Extasy hall. The Yokohama hall doesn't have any kind of elevated seating layout. I wonder if they'll bring in chairs, have them stand, or go zazen style.

I went to the Kyary concert in NY last year. It was a fun experience. I'm no superfan, but there were plenty of them there, and almost all of them were playing dress up of one sort or another. The worst was waiting for hours on a line that went for at least 7 or 8 blocks around midtown Manhattan.

On a Yasutaka-related tangent: If you're gonna auto-tune Shiina, do it like the Toutaikai version of Kodoku no Akatsuki, don't do it like the Yasutaka's album version of Netsuai Hakkakuchuu.

I saw Salyu/Cornelius and of course SAPS here in London. She has no excuse.

Haven't missed Boris a single time they've come to Boston I remember them saying that they're actually more popular outside of Japan.

If you guys don't care for the poster and can combine the Ringo album with other stuff to make any $39+ order on YesAsia, you get free shipping.

Thats what I chose. I want the poster but shipping from amazon jp or cdjapan adds $24 more to the order...for a freakin poster. so I opted out. I got the limted edition and the sayuri ishikawa single.

I like this new self cover thing. I've been wanting to hear her sing those songs she wrote for other singers herself. all good

I have had 2 things take over 3 months to arrive from YesAsia. Last resort for me.

How 1,100 yen equals up to $24 is beyond me... (but yes, expensive regardless if you're only getting the one item).

Free shipping is too much of a false economy for me. No tracking, stuff goes missing, takes forever to show up etc. Better off just stumping up and getting your stuff as soon as possible.

I've never lost one order from yesasia from my 16 years of shopping there. I does take 3 weeks though from HK to California. but I had a $5-off coupon just sitting around, so I only paid around $49 total for the whole dealie.
