The performance wasn't great. the instrumental arrangement was weak and shiina sounded off. maybe she's sick...it is flu season.

Well, from all my years watching MS -- I've learned that majority of the time the bands are never really playing, just sometimes fingering to an instrumental track. This time I couldn't really tell, but there was some guitar effects that needed to be done against an amp or with a pedal which just weren't done... so I can't say that the arrangement was weak...

But towards the end, she did sound off.

Yea, now that I think about it, I can't remember one decent MS performance from anybody. It's never anything special, every songs on MS sounds like it been pushed though a commercialization transmutator.

Exactly, unless you're from a commercialization powerhouse such as Hello!Project or Johnny's Jimusho.

Many reasons as to why I don't watch Music Station as religiously as I used to.

I wish Bokura no Ongaku is available more

HZM has the trademark on a keyboardist donning out-of-style headwear. The bigger the hat, the less sloppy he gets on speed play. In fresh Just Can't Help It discussion, people were commenting about how much Izawa "looks like HZM" from certain angles. Izawa must've watched REALIVE 2007 and thought if he got a cowboy hat, then that would be the final thing he'd need to complete his status as a l33t hax0r, and regain all the glory that his off-site camera work (with Yamaha visuals superimposed over a Steinway performance) was missing.

This is how cowboy hat keyboardist lives are done:

Izawa looks like HZM during JCHI? I must've missed that...and Izawa doesn't photograph as well as HZM but he is a mighty tall glass of water in person. Out of all his looks JCHI is best (longer hair, faux-hawk).

But seriously, the stylist for this performance should be dragged out back and shot. There is no cohesive style to the band and the transition from winter jacket to slinky one piece was god-awful, although her hair gets props. Her earrings are also really lovely, every time I see a close up from the right side I see them and think the same thing.
