I tried to add this rule before the game got too deep, but not everyone noticed it. I promise I won't add anything beyond that.

You can't kill more than one track per turn.

This is what could happen without that rule:
1.) Less than half the players are responsible for most of the kills, which means many people who might want to get a kill won't get one, or they resort to #2.
2.) People might be overly conscientious about their timing in the game, like they know they could be lining up a multi-kill for someone else, or they know they could wait and let someone else line it up. The game could slow to a crawl while all of the would-be killers wait for a line-up that never comes because nobody is making it happen while everyone wants to come in for the kill.
3.) By the time all of the least popular tracks are dead, none of the halfway popular tracks are anywhere near ready to die. Hardly anyone had any reason to weaken the somewhat popular tracks before the last of the unpopular tracks got killed off. When it comes time to start killing the most popular tracks, they will be far too strong because hardly anyone had a reason to weaken them while the somewhat popular tracks were getting killed off.

This very important rule smooths out the game so that all of the penalties are gradual, rather than, let's weaken all the tracks we hate, then kill them all at the same time. Then weaken the tracks we don't love, then kill them all at the same time. Then weaken the tracks we almost love the most, then kill them all at the same time. This rule follows the same spirit of doing things somewhat differently during each of your turns (which has been a rule since the beginning). This just makes that rule more effective.
