She was actually okay in Cold Finger Girl. And auto-tune, when used correctly should be unnoticeable.

I mentioned when I first heard the preview of this song that it sounded like Chiaki had reached the limits of her voice. I'd say that was probably accurate, if the autotune is any indication.

The song is actually pretty decent. Chiaki still doesn't seem quite sure what to do with herself in her PV's though.

The second track is awful for autotune. It sounds like an Ayu ballad too lolz.

It doesn't seem to be autotune per se, to me. I think it's just a voice filter/effect but I don't get the point, it could have worked better with background/double-layered vocals just as in the chorus.
The Ringo characteristic tone change at 2:36 is still delightful and so tasteful, even if overused. |

What the cock is this shit. <:O I'd have just let the rough vocals be instead of autotuning the hell out of the song. It wasn't simply an Ayu ballad for me lol I felt some MUSIC era Mika Nakashima in the arrangement . Last edited by LoBFCanti : 2011.11.27 at 07:18 PM. Reason: I listened to it.... |

Did Ringo write the second track?
Auto-tune is horrible, but it's interesting how it starts out kind of acoustic-y and then shifts into orchestration really seamlessly. Like the guitar and that beat... I really like it. I wish there was a "no auto-tune" version. |

Yes, Ringo wrote both.
These songs are okay... nothing special. |

So I finally got my hands on this - and the expanded edition of Circus.
Watched the Tsukiyo no Shouzou PV for my first time ever (from the expanded DVD), and.. Holy shit, I almost can't believe it's standard definition. When you pause the video, then it's fairly obvious. But when the video is in-motion, it looks about as clean, clear, and photographic as you would expect high definition to be. I've seen plenty of 720p that doesn't look this good. The rest of the new DVD looks the same as the earlier edition - which is pretty good, but it's not quite there at the z0mgWTFwowww level of the Tsukiyo no Shouzou PV.
