Hey wheres the option for "new guitarist GET"?
At the end of the day, TJ is still Ringo's little playground, who she bullys into building her sand castle is not that important. I think Variety is the weakest of the 3 TJ releases, but I'll rather SR try sumthing new every album, whether it turned out to be something I like or not, then for her to do one of those "We-are-going-back-to-our-roots" gimmick and hire Hirrrrama again.

But to entertain that thought, I voted for "Adult-Uki like + Variety-Uki like" and "Don't care", although I wish there was an option for "Variety-Uki like but not as much"

This poll had no single option that I could honestly select, so I picked options 1 and 2. Liked + didn't like before, like + don't like now. Keeping in mind that music is subjective, it might be nice not to have such black-and-white poll options.

As for the last three choices, again they were too black-and-white for me to choose one. Because I don't feel strongly about either Uki or Hirama, but I do care who plays. I also know that with SR and Kameda on board, whoever does play with them will contribute something useful and interesting, as both Hirama and Uki have thus far. Kasanagi might have the right idea, methinks -- something new is always good. Maybe TJ's next guitarist will be straight up blues. Ha.

What would be some less "black-and-white" poll options?

^There wouldn't be a poll, it will just be 50 pages of the "Variety thread" variant...

I'm up for a bluesy guitarist!

When it comes to a subject as broad as a musician, it's usually impossible for me to just reduce my opinion to "like" or "don't like." I think nearly all music has something of value in it for the open-minded listener. In the case of Uki, there are things he does well and things he does poorly.

Something either more general or more specific would have worked for me. General options: "his tastiness and suckiness are both growing/same." Specific options would be about something specific where it's possible to reduce an opinion to just like or don't like. For example, Uki's guitar tone: don't like. Uki's use of chromaticism: like. Uki's ability to bend: don't like. Uki's ability to comp: like.

Not that anything I've said would have made a good poll. I was just explaining why I didn't exactly follow your rules in my voting.

Was Fukushuu supposed to be hybrid of grunge and old-school radiohead? Even if the song wasn't a flying success, I give Uki props for trying. He should stick to being his quirky self though. His music is tough to digest sometimes, but it sounds fresh in an unconventional/Devo kind of way.
