Last week, I was just wishing for EMF posts.

But now I have to check every 2 hours LOL.


And an after-thought... Just a question of opinions, why did Ringo go with a full string ensemble and the 4 musketeers(that was heresy too, busting a peaceful song with loud piano sounds) that only downplay vocals that feels soft and melancholic?

I was thinking that a string quartet would pretty much do for a song that feels like a nocturne(peaceful song that anyone would lie on the meadows and watch the stars while listening to it)


Just thinking how the song could be done differently... I don't know the lyrics so I don't really know what Ringo's true vision of the Carnation was.



I wonder how ParisJihen would amaze us with his guitar jamming skills in Carnation LOL.

Alright, lets put this shit to rest.

What W3ihong is talking about is that at :35, Shiina sings "furu" and there is some microphone distortion of the "f" sound, likely because Shiina is positioned close to the mic (and I guess they weren't using a plosive screen or something?) She was put so close to the mic so you could hear her inhale, like a split second before the distortion, so that the vocals sound intimate, like cheek-to-cheek. However, the unnatural distortion removes you from what is intended. I mean, I guess. It does sound a little out of character for the song and for Shiina, but it must have been the best take.

Huh. I do hear it. I just thought there was something way more offensive that I was missing; it isn't really enough to ruin the song for me.
