Default favorite Izawa or Ukigumo album

Adult isn't an option here, because it has more Ringo or Kameda compositions than anything from Izawa or Ukigumo.

And by the way, what would your next few picks be, if you couldn't have ALL the albums?

-----------------------------------------------------------

I would personally rank things at:
1.) Appa - Rashipoki
2.) PETROLZ - capture 419
3.) Tokyo Jihen - Sports
4.) Tokyo Jihen - Dai-hakken

I haven't heard Mantra yet, which would probably squeeze into my top 5 somehow.

I voted Dai-Hakken, but some of the other choices have me curious. Should I really invest in Appa?

As I was saying to Glath earlier, this was really a choice between Rashipoki and capture 419.

Giving Rashipoki a spin is not a bad way to waste some time. It's a nice obscure gem. It's nothing that will make you line your walls with Appa posters, but it does have nice, catchy, and at times operatic songs that eclipse most of Jihen's output since his involvement.

Damn, if only Shinya Waku was on this list.

Anyway:
Chose Daihakken cause it has Onna no ka wa Daredemo. Against point of poll but whatever :-p

I'm not surprised Fluffie picked Sports over Daihakken. I'm surprised three people picked Daihakken over Sports.

That was a difficult call for me to make, because Izawa and Ukigumo tracks together have a slim majority (7 out of 13), but in the other tracks we've got Phase 1 and we've got covers - sometimes both simultaneously.

I chose Sports. It was an easy decision, because of Izawa's Ikiru and Ukigumo's Kimaru.

By the way, totally related to Izawa-Ukigumo: is there any information about this?

Yeah, you saw this right? (was brought to my attention on last.fm first).

It was between Rashipoki and capture 419 for me too. I gave it to Rashipoki because it’s an entertaining album in its own right (Gypsy is my favourite song he has ever written), while capture is more interesting in a ’what jihen could have done’ context.

With the exception of Sweet Spot, I prefer the live versions of Sports songs. I like listening to Dai-Hakken more than Sports the album.

Having said that, the Sports lives are generally better than Dai-Hakken.
