Sake to Geko= best song Variety. though Pinocchio, another underrated gem, should've been the best song on Variety but sadly for some unknown stupid reason it was left out like Rakujitsu was left out of Adult

"Sounan" and "Blackout" are both wonderful songs. I just had this weird thought today - I thought comparing "Sounan" and "Blackout" would be like comparing two Megaman 2 stage themes, Quick Man and Flash Man.

Quick Man

Flash Man

So I have to ask:
Respective versions of the same songs, which is better: Zazen or Gekokujou?

I never thought of comparing the two; obviously they could be compared.....I don't know. It would be close.

Zazen and it's not even close.

What if GX had same quality audio as ZX?

I gotta admit, that's the main reason I prefer ZX more, it's just far more listenable. Sure, that is a superficial reason to choose one over the other, but it's the truth. My other main reason is the opening of ZX is probably my favourite opening to any of her solo DVDs.

My reason is even more superficial - I think in GX, Ringo's makeup was fucked up. Maybe she intentionally wanted to look punk...ZX in comparison is so classy, with kimono and her little fan...

Same reason I don't like the first half of Ultra C - bunch of dudes wearing rags as if they've just been tarred and feathered is NOT COOL. Also, the beginning of EXPO, with all the horns and spider webs on her head, kind of distracting.

This is part of the problem of comparison. The elements available to us are already stacked in favor of ZX. But that's not Ringo's doing, that's the recorder and sound mixer. Maybe if GX were at the same level of preservation......

By that rationale, I'd pick any CD over the demo tapes. ANY CD. But part of me loves those demos.
