Well, the topic's stickied so I guess that God's killing a kitten every day.
Better get used to it, too -- we're getting Variety 2 soon. |

suicide and homicide aren't quite the same...but it is a nice thought to think of Ringo releasing music to confuse people into jumping in front of the Chuo. Good thing most of us don't live in Tokyo.

she's already killed a kitten living in my ears with Futari Bochhi and Tsugou Karada. my personal sountrack of Hell mix tape would have those songs on it and Konoyo Kagiri shuffled in among a compilation of both High School Musical soundtracks.
I love the hard jazz and bossa nova style, but really hope she keeps the Austin Powers/Johnny Carson theme music strictly apart from the Jihen sound. Last edited by ShadyNook : 2009.07.22 at 12:16 AM. |

I'd more likely throw the offending CD's in front of the Chou before I ever did.

Does it mention anywhere whether Izawa played lead guitar in the studio version of Fukushuu? I figured Uki could have played both if they just layered it, but then Izawa would have been left out completely.

Listen, I had not listened to Variety until AFTER I started lurking on this forum.
I kept on reading about how everyone treated Variety like it was the single worst album EVAR, and so my expectations were really low. Yet, I ended up liking it a lot. Sure, it was a pop album, not a rock album, but the songs were really good. It had rock, jazz, and funky influences. I liked Izawa's Killer Tune, Kingyo no Hako, and Kronekodow, and Uki's Ramp, Mirrorball, OSCA, Boutoumin, and Fukushu. Everyone's expectations of the album, as disillusioned Shiina fans, thought "Well, Shiina isn't writing it, so it must be shit". But Uki and Izawa are just as much musicians as Shiina is, and they are both talented songwriters. (Double posted in Variety thread for good measure) |
