I only really had a problem with the rap in the middle. Otherwise, it's pretty much: Shiina in limo, Uki listening to shit, Izawa + Kame playing chess.

Watching it in the first time in forever. I remember what I didn't like now, it's the bit at the end when they just stroll into the hotel like they own the place and the guy bows to them. I guess I thought she used to represent something cooler than that... It's a Dopamint! moment if you will.
But maybe it's not meant to be taken that seriously. Kameda being good at chess, Ukigumo head-nodding to his iProduct and the rap and all that. :p Last edited by so_cold : 2011.08.27 at 04:48 PM. |

I think the rap bit is pretty funny, just cause they didn't even try to fit it in right, it just does this stupid slow down thing and then he starts rapping. I still remember the first time I saw it and couldn't help but laugh

I think "get it up for love" is like the little child spirit in all adults.
The socially-awkward-penguin guy turned socially awesome penguin. The stupid childish things that adults still do. Adults still play like children in the game of love. Ringo's moves were groovy. I wonder how the adult perfume will smell like... Will it be a musky scent or putrefied urine? |

If the PV had been based more strictly on the album version of the song, I would seriously show that PV to anyone I'm trying to introduce SR/TJ to. Instead (in the pursuit of showing off Himitsu), I can only show them the extra Dynamite tour footage from Pour Homme. That's not a bad way to start, but it doesn't really demonstrate why anyone should care about the current band.
They've got some great studio material which should translate into great PVs, but then there's Himitsu for DJ - and a lot of backup dancers. When it comes to trying to show off Phase 2 to unacquainted listeners, the band is making that introduction process a lot more awkward than it really has to be. Most of that awkwardness disappears, when I somehow manage to forget that.. Phase 2 has videos.

As far as it comes to Ringo, you have so many better songs and videos to choose from anyway. Regarding newer PVs, I wouldn't trust anyone that did not like the Japanese cheerleaders either.
