Byrne + Dirty Projectors - Knotty Pine

Finally bought the Dark Was The Night comp. Couldn't steal from an AIDS charity album...

I'm thinking of bands that would tempt me to make the trip to NY in a greyhound...
Pains of Being Pure is going to NY...Asobi Seksu is gonna be there soon too...

Ohhh, bummer, CJ. We could have even had a jam session,I hear Maou plays guitar too =(. At first, I was worried about how i'd get to the show because it doesn't look like Webster hall is close to penn station and I don't drive but then today a friend of mine sent me the link to the tickets page, she's also a fan of Annie, so I might be going with her. We haven't talked about it yet but we'll probably end up going together. She's cute, and she drives so it's a win/win .

Traveling in the city is relatively easy. We'll find a day man, just has to be a band we all can get excited about. He has to come from Ohio, me from Toronto, and you from...NJ.

Hell boy, you should take the train with her...don't let a girl drive you around, perfect way to kill any chance you have.

Hahah, nah, it hasn't hurt my chances before, although I don't like to let it happen. It is usually avoided, but for Annie, i'll let anyone take me if I can't get there on my own =). I'd rather take the train but i just didn't think it would leave me off close to the place. I remember seeing a google map of the place and it seemed far from penn station unless i had mixed up the street numbers. Is it close?

No clue, but it's the city...it's not that big when you have a subway.

Sad Day For Puppets - Last Night

Not a bad album (dreampop-y type stuff). This song is probably my favourite.

We'll hang out eventually. Maybe not this time, but it'll happen in the future. We can play some SR songs together. I know Gibs, Kabuki-cho, Sounan (not the intro), Keikoku, Koufukuron, and some others. I'll be benching my Strat when I get some money. Moving to a Jaguar instead because I prefer the smaller scale length. Unfortunately, all Fenders have increased in price recently.

Psh. I wouldn't worry about the girl driving. Just offer to drive part of the way.

And if it doesn't work out with her, tell her you have a friend named fluffie the sock who's single and who knows how to drive too.
