I wasn't saying it's a bad thing. Different genres of music are sung differently. Pop music is sung like... pop music. Rock music is sung like... rock music. Can you guess what Jazz is sung like? Even way back in the day, Ringo would sing different songs differently. The gutteral growl of Tsumi to Batsu is not the same thing as the refined listlessness of Aozora.

Very nice. I can definitely taste the Muzai Moratorium here (yet it still has its own new (nu? - I'll get the regular critics to decide on that :-p) flavor added to the mix) too, Inseu. No trace of late era Jihen remains here. This is solo Shiina Ringo through and through, whether you like it or not. My only main hope/concern is (I know its a slim chance) that this song is around 5 minutes, though lately it seems she's content with writing songs that go for around 3 minutes :-/

2013 is being very kind (to me at least).

Edit: Don't think I've edited a post that many times in ages...

I once wrote about dreaming of Ringo releasing a new single (and tried to play the song with my guitar once I woke up)...

This song is soooo similar. I don't mean I have predicted the song several years ago (not the same tune), but similar with its atmosphere.

Kind of reminiscing of Remote Controller anyway.

Thanks, man. I like what I hear so far. It is kind of light/fluffy, but yet sounds a lot more 'musically tense' than some of the other recent work.

As said above, this really is the solo-Shiina stuff after a long while. If this is the good thing coming out of TJ's disbandment, I approve it. Really good sound there!
