You are not alone. I like Variety. Maybe because I'm not much into Rock-oriented Ringo. When I decide whether it's good album or not, I usually count how many songs I enjoy listening and Variety gives me at least 3 songs, SSAW, Killer Tune, and Metro. It's almost the same in number as MM, which gives me 'Tadashi Machi, Marunouchi Sadistic, Keikoku'.

There really is no argument. Variety sucks and some people like music that sucks and that's OK.
