If you are an American (or you're Japanese)...
Now is the time to buy a Vivienne Westwood "Armour Ring". The British pound is currently the weakest it has ever been against the American dollar, for the last 6 years. It used to require $340 to convert to the amount of British pounds it would take to buy the armor ring. Now it's $262. The yen is fairly strong right now too, so it currently only takes 23,803 yen to buy the Armor Ring. Vivienne Westwood's online shop doesn't have the 'gold' version anymore, but that's okay because it was merely gold-plated (doomed to eventually rub or scratch off), and it wasn't considered more valuable, because they would charge for it whatever the silver version would cost at the time. Shiina Ringo herself never wore the gold-plated version anyway, so it's a more authentic act of fandom to buy the silver version.

Or if you are British (you can weep at our economy collapsing)
You can pay £170, but that's kinda steep for this! it is only silver after all, though if it's still here next month I may be tempted. @merman, she's wearing one on the Koufukuron cover. Last edited by Ringo~Bingo : 2008.11.13 at 12:04 PM. |

Now we can wear it as well every single day, we can be like old-school Ringo too! that said though, would I get it on my sausage fingers ?
(I'm kidding of course! I'd never wear it outside, though it would be good for fighting with I imagine) Last edited by Ringo~Bingo : 2008.11.13 at 02:30 PM. |

I don't think I've ever seen anybody wear one of these in Britain outside of extreme OTT metal-heads and aside from that... Shiina Ringo. For that reason alone, it just wouldn't be worth me getting one. There would be virtually no occasion I'd consider wearing it in the UK.
