Yeah I picked Casshern up some years ago on DVD thinking it would be pretty standard stuff but was also surprised how good a film it was. :)

Inception on the 16th and then Toy Story 3 on the 19th. UK movie-watching life can't get any better?
|
Indeed! I'll probably go and see both for the price of one via Orange Wednesday on the 21st. That shall be a good day! Which to see first?

Inception and the first Alan Wake DLC on one day. On top of that it's in my holiday. You're right, can't get any better :P (Well, I don't care for Toy Story 3) |

If I were to see both on the same day, then I'd let Toy Story 3 warm my heart then be blown away by Inception. |

Watch the first 10 minutes of 'Up' and tell me that it's just an animated childrens movie. I've never been so close to crying in such a short space of time. |
I don't know about classing UP along with other children's fare. It had such a wealth of great comedic and sentimental SQUIRREL! fare in it that it's way above other contemporaries, in my snotty opinion. Also, the plotline was very unpredictable compared to the average SQUIRREL! fairy tale, live robot, insert-overdone-type animated film.
On the same topic, what they did to Astro Boy is such a horrendous, horrendous crime. Go watch the old series, kids. You might learn a lesson or two while being entertained, instead of dying of boredom. |

And yes, children's movies can be bad, but so can films of any other genre. I'd no sooner watch Transformers than watch Shrek. |
