Well, Bonnie Pink's style during her debut was kinda similar to Ringo's, I guess. Thanks a lot papi, that's an interesting piece of trivia :)

Of course, Bonnie Pink isn't Yumiko Shiina. However, at the time Yumiko had short red hair, and a similar mole near her mouth, so it's not a stretch to say they looked alike.

Yumiko had her mother send her Bonnie Pink's CD from Japan. She liked her music. And she was also relieved that the music was different than the music she was writing herself.

More fashion-inclined forum members may have already noticed this, but I just wanted to point out that some of the clothes in the "Mayonaka wa Junketsu" music video have appeared elsewhere in Ringo's career. Some of them are obvious, others not so much.

I didn't either! So much for the ARGHHH horrible hat she likes to wear nowadays :D

I haven't noticed her wearing them during appearances but I have seen the production shots they took of her in costume for the PV. you can see her wearing various clothes from the animated version and even the actual cat suit she wears later in the Ringo no Uta PV. I'm assuming they took the pictures to send to the artists to ease production. kind of cool she is using them again.

The hat should be restricted to animated music videos. And even then...
